Wet blasting
Wet blasting applications
Wet blasting removes paint, rust and chemical deposits and degreases the part in the same treatment. Typical applications are pumps and valves, electric gearboxes and engines, and turbines.
- Paint, rust and chemical deposits in one action
- Steel, copper, bronze and aluminium, without affecting the structure
- Complex assemblies without complete dismantling

In the spotlight
What wet blasting does in one treatment
Paint, rust and chemical deposits
They are removed in one action. Depending on your objective, the paint layer is removed completely or partially (only loose and flaky paint), or you matt old paint layers before overpainting. Pipelines and similar parts can also be wet blasted.
Metals and assemblies
Steel, copper, bronze and aluminium are treated in a highly controlled manner without affecting the structure. Even complex assemblies are cleaned without complete dismantling being necessary.
Turbines
Turbine blades, turbine engines and turbine cladding are usually wet blasted.

Frequently asked questions
What is wet blasting used for?
For cleaning and removing various contaminations. A typical application is the simultaneous degreasing and cleaning of contaminated workpieces.
Can pumps and valves be wet blasted?
Yes. Paint, rust and chemical deposits can be removed in 1 action. Depending on your objective, the paint layer is removed completely or partially (only loose and flaky paint), and old paint layers can be matted before overpainting. Pipelines and similar parts can also be treated.
Do gearboxes and engines have to be fully dismantled?
No. Even complex assemblies are cleaned without complete dismantling being necessary. Metals such as steel, copper, bronze and aluminium are treated in a highly controlled manner without affecting the structure.
Which other parts are wet blasted?
Among others instruments and tools, automotive parts such as alternators, brake clamps and starters (removal of carbon deposits), pump parts, electric motors and compressor parts, aircraft parts, moulds and extruders, forgings, springs and metal wire, cable and tape. It is also used to activate composite parts.
In which industries is wet blasting used?
Among others the rubber and plastics, aluminium, glass and natural stone industries, the automotive and aviation sectors, metalworking, nuclear, food and pharmaceutical industries, chemistry and petrochemistry, monument care and the revision and maintenance sector.
