Automating
Automated dry blasting installations
An automated dry blasting installation gives every part the same path, the same distance and the same time. Phibo supplies transit installations, satellite cabinets, barrel blast machines and oscillation systems, up to a robot cell.
- Surface treatment specialist since 1988
- CE marked, with declaration of conformity and manual
- Abrasives and blasting accessories in our own warehouse
- Maintenance, repair and spare parts arranged directly with Phibo

The standard range
Four forms of automated blasting
Which form fits depends on how your parts move through the installation.
Transit installations
Parts travel through the blasting zone, vertically or horizontally. For batches that keep arriving without a break.
Satellite cabinets
Parts rotate on satellites through the abrasive stream. Every face gets its turn without anyone turning them over.
Barrel blast machines
Small parts tumble together in a barrel. For bulk work where positioning each part is unnecessary.
Oscillation systems
The nozzles move horizontally or vertically across the part. For surfaces that need an even treatment.

Robotisation
When a robot takes over
If no standard version fits, we put together a robotised installation and match the blasting process to your parts. Delivered turnkey and commissioned, with training for your operators on request.
More parts per hour
The robot blasts at a constant speed, with no pause between two parts.
Also the places nobody reaches
Cavities, inner corners and the back of a part are treated as precisely as the front.
Every part the same
Same path, same distance, same time. The result is reproducible and the quality stays constant.
Traceable
The parameters are recorded automatically and sent to your software. You can show for every part how it was treated.
From standard to custom
Give us your part, your cycle time and your current method, and we will see which of the four forms above comes closest to your line.
Consumables
Which abrasive an automated installation handles
In a closed installation with recuperation the abrasive is reused day after day. The choice sets the service life of the nozzles as much as the final surface.
From our own warehouse
We keep abrasives, spare parts and protective equipment in stock, so you order them from the same partner as the installation.
- Steel shot and steel grit
- Aluminium oxide and ceramic beads
- Glass beads for a matt surface
- Nozzles and wear parts
- Cartridge filters for the dust extraction
- Blasting tapes and masking material
