What is brown aluminium oxide?

Brown aluminium oxide is an angular, tough blasting medium that roughens surfaces before metallising, vulcanising, enamelling or coating. Its titanium content makes the grain tough, so it can be recycled many times.

It is used for roughening all types of surfaces in preparation for metallising, vulcanising, enamelling or applying coatings. Brown aluminium oxide has an excellent price-quality ratio and is suitable for matting metal, glass, natural stone and others.

Phibo supplies brown aluminium oxide from its own warehouse, in 18 grain sizes. Packaging: 25 kg per bag, 1000 kg per pallet.

Frequently asked questions

What is brown aluminium oxide used for?

To roughen a surface before metallising, vulcanising, enamelling or coating, and to matte metal, glass and natural stone.

How often can brown aluminium oxide be recycled?

As an indication, 15 to 25 times. The titanium content makes the grain tough, but the exact number depends on the working pressure and the material.
