What are ceramic beads?

Ceramic beads are round, shock-resistant grains used to clean, deburr, satin-finish and shot peen. They last significantly longer than glass beads and give a uniform roughness with minimal material removal.

Ceramic beads are shock-resistant, resulting in minimal consumption, minimal material removal and uniform finishing roughness.

Phibo supplies ceramic beads from its own warehouse, in 9 grain sizes. Packaging: 25 kg per drum.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ceramic beads and glass beads?

Ceramic beads are harder and more shock-resistant. They do not break but wear down, so they last much longer and give less consumption and less dust than glass beads.

Are ceramic beads suitable for shot peening?

Yes. Ceramic beads give a shot peening intensity equal to round steel shot and higher than glass beads, without iron contamination.
